Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American writer and designer who has been awarded numerous prizes for her writing and design. She is a proponent of the rights of animals. She has been acclaimed by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). Her desire to be an artist was inspired by her upbringing as a member of the New York family of artists. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant, before progressing to acting and modeling. The first two films she made were noticed and she received an award called the Golden Globe Award of Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw's film Love Story was an international smash, and earned the actress the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. MacGraw was deemed the top female box-office actress in the world after only three releases. In Grauman's Chinese Theater in the year 1972, she was able to have her handprints and signature engraved. Other credits include The Getaway Convoy Players, television miniseries The Winds of War and other. Moving Pictures is her autobiography which was published in the year 1991. MacGraw is divorced three times.
