Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
The shadows she saw in the grass inspired her to spend months developing the technique that, however, did not paint the object she chose onto canvas. The subject instead transforms into a re-creation of itself and the canvas transforms into the medium for it's own painterly interpretation, especially when the subjects are living or perishable items for example, like humans or fruits. Alexa's style of painting is ephemeral and only the photographs of her work survive. The painting and the photographic techniques are so closely coordinated that the result is an unflat, 2-dimensional space that achieves trompe-l'oeil. In this, the third dimension is only visible within certain places like near the eyes or hair. Meade often integrates her painting into the surrounding three-dimensional environment, which allows for the model to be a part of the context of their own. Thereby repealing the boundaries between painting, photography, performance and installation.
